Reverse D: (Melbourne) Used on all Melbourne and Perth pennies from 1938 to 1952 and later years also.
The P in PENNY and U in AUSTRALIA point to thick denticles while the Y, I and A point to the thin ones.
There are 81 of each denticle.
Reverse E: (Bombay 42) Used to strike coins at Bombay for 1942 and a small amount of 1943 coins, making the 1943 issue scarce with this reverse.
The P and Y in Penny point to a thick denticle.
Dots before and after Penny are present. The denticles are taller and there are 77 of each.
Reverse F: (Bombay 43) Used for most of the 1943 Bombay coins, this reverse is pretty much identical to reverse E although the denticles are shorter like the D reverse.
The dots are still before and after the word PENNY.
Reverse G: Similar to reverse D but the P in Penny now points to a thin denticle while the L and I in Australia point to a thick one. Used in 1951 and 1952 and later coins.
